Meet Our Students: Celebrating Success Stories – Emma Good
In our series "Meet Our Students: Celebrating Success Stories," we highlight remarkable individuals who exemplify the spirit and achievements of the Faculty of Social Science at Western University. Today, we shine a spotlight on Emma Good, a graduate who has made significant contributions both academically and within the university community.
Good graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, earning the prestigious Gold Medal for her Honours Specialization in Sociology. Her dedication and passion for her studies have set her apart, and she is a true testament to the impact of the social sciences on personal and professional growth.
During her time at Western, Good took on leadership roles that allowed her to engage deeply with the student community. She served a year as the Vice President of Student Events and spent an additional year as the Vice President of Academics of the Social Science Students' Council. In these roles, Good demonstrated exceptional commitment to enhancing the academic experience and fostering a vibrant social atmosphere for her peers.
Reflecting on her journey, Good shares, “The social science program at Western was truly so formative and impactful for me. The classes I took and the professors I learned from changed the way I looked at the world and helped me develop personally, professionally, and academically. I would not be where I am today without the supportive community of students, faculty, and staff!”
Emma Good’s story is an inspiring example of how engagement and passion can lead to meaningful experiences during university life. We celebrate her achievements and the influence she has had on her fellow students.
