Mission Statement
The Faculty of Social Science advances interdisciplinary research and fosters critical inquiry to understand the interconnected social and natural worlds. We equip students to challenge assumptions, think laterally, and develop the skills and knowledge to address complex global challenges, from pandemics to the climate crisis and technological innovation, recognizing these are deeply human as well as technical. Grounded in the importance of relationships, citizenship and community, we empower individuals to create inclusive, sustainable, and equitable futures.
Vision Statement
To be a global leader in advancing social science knowledge that transforms societies, enriches public discourse, and addresses the complex challenges of our time. We aspire to create a collaborative academic environment where students, scholars, and communities partner in crafting solutions that bridge the local and global, driving sustainable and inclusive change.
