Information for Undergraduate Students in the Faculty of Social Science
Discovering our Social World
The world is changing at a rapid pace. Advances in technology, changing population structures, increasing international movement of people, technology and capital, and changes to physical environments, have serious implications for the economy, business, government and politics, social environments and physical living conditions. The Faculty of Social Science at Western is committed to intellectual inquiry that uncovers problems and solutions to these and other factors that affect the human condition. We produce new and innovative research and teach students the knowledge and skills necessary to make a difference in government, business, the non-profit sector and academia.
The Faculty of Social Science at Western understands how important your dreams are, and knows they are as unique as you.
Social Science offers a variety of modules to build your degree with. Modules from Social Science can be combined with other faculties.
There are many tools online to help with course selection. You can view the academic calendar, timetable, course outlines from the department’s websites, and check out professor’s evaluations.
Each department/program has an academic advisor to help as well as the Faculty’s Academic Counselling Office, SSC 2105.
